The practical rules for entering the arena, understanding a decision, controlling your replay history, and getting help.
Spar is a live, scored arena for public argument. Two people debate on video in timed turns, an AI judge scores the quality of each argument, viewers participate, and the debate ends with an official decision and record.
The judge scores clarity, logic, evidence, honesty, clash, and impact. It is stance-blind: the position a debater takes is not itself rewarded or punished. Scores can include transparent conduct or verified-fact adjustments without rewriting the judge's raw quality scores.
Read the complete scoring standard →Choose Drop a Spar from My Spars, a topic page, or another debater's profile. Send the challenge link directly or share it publicly. The recipient can accept, schedule, or decline it; accepted challenges create the debate room for both participants.
Open My Spars →A debate may be livestreamed, recorded, transcribed, scored, fact-checked, and summarized. The prejoin screen asks participants to consent before entering. Do not join a recorded debate unless everyone whose consent is required has agreed.
Yes. In profile settings, turn on private-by-default replay history. You can also share or hide an individual replay later. A replay becomes publicly discoverable only when every occupied participant seat allows it.
Open replay privacy settings →Your public profile can show your display name, unique callsign, record, Spar Ranking, badges, rivalries, and debates that are allowed to be public. Private replay media is withheld from public discovery and spectator playback.
Spar coins are virtual, play-money credits used for viewer actions and prediction features. They are not cash, cryptocurrency, or redeemable for money.
Spar is viewpoint-neutral and conduct-enforced. Strong opinions are allowed; threats, harassment, slurs, nudity, doxxing, spam, and abuse are not. Use Report on a profile, debate room, or debate result to send an issue to the safety queue.
Account settings include data export and deletion controls. Shared debate records may be retained in anonymized form when needed for other participants, safety, legal compliance, or the integrity of an official result.
Open account settings →For product support, email support@spar.fm. For privacy requests, email privacy@spar.fm. Safety reports should use the in-product Report button so they reach the moderation queue with the relevant debate or profile attached.
